The scale tools are combined into a group of 7 icons, located horizontally at the top of the main window above the preview area.
The group contains:
1. Zoom In
This icon looks like a loupe with a '+' sign under it. By clicking on it, you can zoom in of your image by one step. The zoom step depends on a current scale. The more a scale, the more a zoom step. You can also enlarge the scale of your image, pressing '+' on your keyboard.
Note: Also, you can zoom in by turning the mouse wheel up (Pan Tool mode) or left clicking (Zoom Tool mode).
2. Zoom Out
Looks like a loupe with a '-' sign under it. By pressing it, you can zoom out of your image by one step. The zoom step depends on a current scale. The less a scale, the less a zoom step. You can also reduce the scale of your image, pressing '-' on your keyboard.
Note: Also, you can zoom out by turning the mouse wheel down (Pan Tool mode) or right clicking (Zoom Tool mode).
3. Zoom to actual size
The tool icon looks like a loupe with a '\' sign inside a circle. By clicking on it, you can resize your image to its actual size (100%). You can also do the same, pressing '/' on your keyboard.
4. Select Zoom
This icon looks like a loupe with 3 horizontal lines. When you press it, a popup list will appear with scale values from 25 to 600 % (25%,33%,50%,100%,200%,300%,400%,500%,600%), in which the current scale is checked. You can choose any of them with a single click, and your image will be resized to the relevant scale. The current scale is shown in percents at the bottom middle of the main window.
5. Fit to Viewport
Looks like a picture with pointers at its corners. The Fit to Viewport mode is on by default, after you launch the program. By clicking on this item, you can resize the image to the preview area size. Hereby, the image will be fully displayed. Small images will be enlarged, large images will be reduced. You can get the same effect, by pressing Ctrl+'*' on your keyboard. If the Fit to Viewport mode is on, the icon is highlighted in blue. When you press the icon or Ctrl+'*' keys again, the Fit to Viewport mode will be off (grey icon).
6. Best Fit
This tool icon looks like a picture with pointers on it. It fits the lesser side of an image (width or height) to the size of the preview area. Hereby, the image will be fully displayed in one dimension only. To move across the other axis use the scrool bars or the Pan Tool. You can also switch this mode on, by pressing * on your keyboard. If the Best Fit is on, the icon is highlighted in blue. When you press the icon or * key again, the Best Fit mode will be off (grey icon).
7. Full Screen
This tool allows you to use the entire computer screen for image displaying. In this mode you can completely estimate your image, the controls and design items will not distract you. To activate the Full Screen mode, click the icon depicting a monitor with pointers at the center. Also you can enter this mode, by pressing F11 on your keyboard. To quit the Full Screen mode, press Esc or F11 key again.
